PRIVACY POLICY & TERMS OF SERVICE
Last Updated: August 15, 2026
Welcome to READ BY THREE, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide online K-12 academic tutoring, English Language Arts instruction, ESL training, and parent-coaching literacy services via our website and our third-party learning management system provider, Wise.live.
By accessing our website, purchasing our services, or utilizing our virtual learning portals, you ("Client," "Parent," "User," or "Student") agree to be bound by the following Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
PART 1: TERMS OF SERVICE (OPERATIONAL RULES)
1. Nature of Services & Platform Utilization
The Company provides online academic instruction. All live digital interactions, virtual classrooms, scheduling, and lesson tracking are hosted through Wise.live. Users must maintain a secure account profile on Wise.live and ensure their technological infrastructure (high-speed internet, webcam, and microphone) meets operational standards before booking sessions.
2. Enrollment, Commitments, & Payment Frameworks
Universal Private Payment Options: All educational programs, tracks, and courses offered by the Company are open to the general public via standard private-pay structures. Payouts and installments are processed securely through our credit/debit card payment gateway (Stripe).
Specialty Term Commitments (Mom & Me Track): Private early literacy tracks operate on a fixed 12-week (24-session) programmatic commitment. Clients may pay in full upfront for the complete curriculum loop ($1,350.00 USD) or purchase incremental curriculum block allotments of eight (8) credits for $520.00 USD. Single-class or ad-hoc individual bookings are not permitted for specialty developmental programs.
Standard Tutoring Payment Tracks (Foundations & RX3 Academy): For all standard K-12 tutoring courses, the Company offers two flexible payment modalities:
Per-Session Billing: Charged at a flat rate of $50.00 USD per individual 50-minute class, invoiced and collected at the time of booking.
Monthly Package Allotment: Charged as a recurring monthly subscription of $400.00 USD. Upon successful monthly renewal, the Client's Wise.live ledger is automatically credited with eight (8) lesson credits (grounded on an expected pacing of 2 lessons per week). One (1) credit is systematically deducted from the account balance for every 50-minute session executed. Unused monthly credits are subject to standard platform expiration boundaries outlined at checkout.
Optional Education Savings Account (ESA) Funding: As an added convenience, the Company maintains compliance frameworks to allow families to utilize state school choice funds (e.g., ClassWallet, Odyssey, EMA/Step Up For Students) for eligible tracks. For clients choosing this option, the Company provides fully itemized invoices detailing the student's legal name, precise date/time timestamps, hourly rates, and core academic descriptors.
Funding Accountability & Backup Payment Liability: ESA funding is explicitly treated as an optional payment method alternative. It remains the client’s sole responsibility to ensure their specific state ESA account holds adequate funds to cover all booked services. If a state portal delays, rejects, or claws back an itemized invoice payment due to parental administrative error or state policy changes, the parent/guardian remains personally and financially liable for the immediate clearance of the outstanding balance via private credit card or Stripe link.
3. Cancellation, Attendance, & Late Policies
24-Hour Notice Required: Clients must request cancellations or rescheduling windows at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled session start time via the Wise.live student dashboard.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: If a client cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, or fails to log into the virtual classroom within the first ten (10) minutes of a 30-minute session (Mom & Me) or fifteen (15) minutes of a 50-minute session (All K-12 Streams), the class is logged as "Completed/Absence" and full fees apply. For subscription or package clients, one (1) session credit will be automatically deducted. Instructors are independent contractors reserving dedicated time slots; therefore, no refunds or makeup sessions are authorized for late cancellations.
4. Independent Contractor & Instructor Safeguards
All instructors utilizing our platform are independent contractors (1099), not corporate employees. Clients are strictly prohibited from soliciting, hiring, or bypassing the platform to contract privately with any instructor introduced via our network. Any attempt to solicit an instructor outside the framework of the Company will result in immediate termination of the client's account without a refund, and may trigger legal civil enforcement.
PART 2: PRIVACY POLICY (DATA & PRIVACY BENCHMARKS)
1. Information We Collect
To process learning logs and invoices seamlessly, we collect the following data:
Parent/Guardian Data: Legal name, email address, billing address, phone number, and Stripe-managed transaction details. (We do not store complete raw credit card numbers on our local databases).
Student Data: Legal name, grade band, age, and academic focus metrics submitted via our Welcome/Intake Questionnaire.
Technical & Usage Logs: Automated IP addresses, browser classifications, and Wise.live classroom attendance timestamps (log-in and log-out data).
2. Strict Child Privacy Protection (COPPA & Safety)
We comply fully with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect personal data from minors under the age of 13 without explicit parental consent provided during intake registration.
No Public Video Recording Sales: Virtual classroom data may be audited internally by administrative staff to ensure instructional quality control. However, session videos are confidential and are never sold, traded, or distributed to third-party marketing entities.
3. Data Disclosures for State ESA Compliance
By using our ESA billing options, parents grant the Company explicit permission to share itemized invoice metrics (including the student's legal name, grade level, session timestamps, and subject content logs) with authorized financial platforms like ClassWallet, Odyssey, Merit, Step Up For Students, and state departments of education for the purpose of validating public scholarship expenditures.
4. Data Deletion Requests
Users hold the right to request the permanent deletion of their personal administrative data from our local student roster file. To request data deletion, contact us at contactreadbythree@gmail.com.
(Note: Educational records linked to processed state ESA funding invoices must be preserved for statutory tax and audit minimum holding periods under state guidelines).
